Embarrassed :(
The downturn in the economy caused us to let our yard service go over a year ago. We managed to keep up with the mowing (to some extent), but we failed miserably to maintain the backyard and much of the yard became overgrown. The result can be seen in the photograph I took after Alberto and his son Norberto worked for 9 hours on the clean up. He's coming back Monday to work on the front yard and to do some roof repairs, but I doubt there will be anything close to this much debris after it's finished. Having the backyard cleared again is freeing. I feel it's the first step to preparing for the coming year, and like we will move into 2011 just a little bit lighter. It feels good.
