Inauguration Day

Inauguration Photo from Yahoo
I started my blog in 2004, in large part because I needed a place to vent about the election that was taking place at that time. Today, I got the opportunity to watch the inauguration of President Barack Obama, and I can't help but personally feel the hope that his taking office has brought to most of the country. I love that his speech talked about the transformation of America, and about the economic, ecological, and geopolitical mess we have created, and we are now having to clean up. For the first time in eight years, in spite of the circumstances under which he is taking office, I feel optimistic about our country and our president.

I too feel an optimism that I have never felt before and an renewed interest and hope for what the future holds. He has captured my interest and attention. There is something real that radiates from within him that I have never seen before. Your Republican Friend...... Or perhaps a former Republican..... Time will tell

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope one day you will join us, and the world be as one.

If it is all the same to you, I choose hope.
